Ms Jennifer Hogg
Available by appointment by telephoning (01655) 882708
An Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) has joined our team, to help reduce waiting times to see your GP.
Jennifer can assess, diagnose, treat and prescribe medication for minor illnesses and long term conditions which you may have seen the GP for in the past.
Problems they can help you with include;
- Chest and urine infections
- Muscular and joint pain
- Diarrhoea and vomiting
- Cold and flu symptoms
- Anxiety & depression
- Rashes and allergies
- Hay fever
- Wounds
They can also refer to hospital services and arrange sick notes with a Doctor.
If you have an urgent medical condition which requires a same day emergency appointment, the ANP will assess you over the telephone and decide what is needed next. You may need advice that can be provided there and then, a prescription which they can prepare for you to collect or an appointment to see the ANP or a GP.
Leaflets with further information on how the ANP can help you are available from reception.

Health Care Assistant
Health Care Assistant
Kirsty McPherson
Health Care Assistants are helping General Practice to provide more services to patients by freeing up the time of Nurses and GPs. Health Care Assistants take on less complex but equally important tasks, which have traditionally been performed by Nurses. They work alongside GPs and Nurses, so that they can spend more time focusing on the more complex needs of their patients and less time on administration and paperwork.
The Health Care Assistants will make a valuable and meaningful contribution to the work of the practice team.
Appointments are now available with her on request
